GIRO PDG – 2c Weigher PDG

• Used for accurate weighing and packing of fresh produce such as citrus fruits and onions.
• Integrated into automated packing lines for forming net bags or clipped bags.
• Suitable for food processing facilities requiring precise portion control for bulk goods.
• Applicable in agricultural packing houses for pre-packaging consumer-ready units.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput commonly ranges from 15 to 30 packs per minute, depending on product and pack size.

Power supply

Units of this type typically operate on a 3-phase industrial power supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz.

Weighing accuracy

Precision weighers are designed for high accuracy, typically within +/- 1-2 grams for target weights.

Product compatibility

Commonly configured for free-flowing, robust produce like citrus, potatoes, onions, and similar items.

Integration

Often designed to link with net welding machines, clipping machines, or bagging systems.

Footprint

The physical footprint for a standalone unit of this type is typically compact, but varies with configuration and associated equipment.

Construction material

Components in contact with food are typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel for hygiene and durability.

Precision and portable balances are valued for their accuracy and reliability across laboratory and pharmaceutical settings. Buyers typically seek models with proven calibration stability and minimal drift over time. When purchasing used equipment, industry practice emphasises checking calibration certificates, verifying display functionality, and confirming availability of replacement parts. These instruments are generally regarded as durable workhorses that perform well if properly maintained. Key strengths include repeatability, compact design for space-constrained labs, and compatibility with existing analytical workflows.
