• Changing the direction of product flow in a conveyor line without external power.
• Integrating with existing straight conveyor sections to create complex layouts.
• Accumulating products temporarily at a turn.
• Handling a variety of packaged goods, boxes, and totes in warehousing and logistics.
• Facilitating ergonomic workstations by redirecting items to operators.

Typical curve angle

Commonly 45, 60, 90, or 180 degrees, depending on the specific unit.

Roller material

Typically steel, stainless steel, or PVC, chosen based on application and environment.

Frame material

Often mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminium for this class of equipment.

Roller pitch

The spacing between rollers typically varies to suit different product sizes and stability requirements.

Overall width

Commonly available in various widths to match standard straight conveyor sections.

Load capacity

For this type of equipment, load capacity varies significantly with roller material, pitch, and curve radius; buyers should confirm with the seller.

• What products are suitable for a gravity curve?

Gravity curves are best suited for items with a flat, firm base, such as boxes, crates, and totes, that can maintain stability as they navigate the curve.

• Does a gravity curve require power?

• How do I ensure smooth product flow on a gravity curve?

• Can this unit be integrated with existing conveyor systems?

• What maintenance is typically required for a gravity curve?

Buyers typically value conveyor systems for their reliability and longevity when well-maintained. Key considerations when purchasing used units include belt condition, motor functionality, frame integrity, and available spare parts. Industry sentiment emphasises the importance of verifying operational history and cleanliness standards, particularly for food handling applications. Common strengths include robust construction, relatively straightforward maintenance requirements, and cost savings versus new equipment. Reputable manufacturers' models tend to hold their value well and integrate readily into existing production lines.
