Unknown - Incline Conveyor

• Moving bulk food products from one processing stage to a higher one.
• Feeding packaging machinery with ingredients or finished products.
• Transferring items over obstacles on a production line.
• Loading hoppers or storage bins with raw or processed food materials.

Typical capacity

Throughput for this class of equipment commonly ranges from 500 kg/hr to several tonnes/hr, depending on belt width and incline angle.

Power supply

Units of this type typically operate on a 400V, 3-phase, 50Hz electrical supply, though smaller units may be 230V single-phase.

Belt material

Commonly food-grade PVC, PU, or modular plastic belting, selected for hygiene and product compatibility.

Frame material

Typically constructed from stainless steel for food contact areas and washdown environments, or painted mild steel for less stringent applications.

Incline angle

For this class of equipment, incline angles commonly range from 15 to 45 degrees, often featuring cleats or flights to prevent product rollback.

Footprint

The footprint varies significantly based on height requirement and incline angle, typically requiring several metres in length.

• What types of products are suitable for an incline conveyor?

Incline conveyors are suitable for a wide range of bulk food products, including granular items, powders, small components, and certain packaged goods. The specific product suitability depends on the belt type and cleat configuration.

• How do I determine the correct incline angle for my application?

• What maintenance is typically required for an incline conveyor?

• Can this conveyor be integrated into an existing production line?

• Are there different types of belts available for incline conveyors?

Buyers typically value conveyor systems for their reliability and longevity when well-maintained. Key considerations when purchasing used units include belt condition, motor functionality, frame integrity, and available spare parts. Industry sentiment emphasises the importance of verifying operational history and cleanliness standards, particularly for food handling applications. Common strengths include robust construction, relatively straightforward maintenance requirements, and cost savings versus new equipment. Reputable manufacturers' models tend to hold their value well and integrate readily into existing production lines.
