What are the benefits of a rotary vane compressor?

Rotary vane compressors are known for their low noise levels, direct drive efficiency, and consistent air delivery, often resulting in lower running costs and longer operational life compared to other compressor types.

Why is an integrated dryer important?

An integrated dryer removes moisture from the compressed air, preventing corrosion in downstream equipment, improving product quality in sensitive applications, and extending the life of pneumatic tools.

What maintenance is typically required for a used Mattei compressor?

Regular maintenance for a used unit typically involves checking and changing oil, inspecting air and oil filters, and verifying the condition of the dryer's refrigerant and condensate drain system. Buyers should consult the manufacturer's service manual.

Can this unit be used for food processing applications?

While the integrated dryer helps produce cleaner air, specific certifications (e.g., ISO 8573-1 for air quality) are required for direct food contact applications. Buyers should verify the unit's air quality class with the seller.

What does 'Sold as Seen' imply for this listing?

'Sold as Seen' means the buyer accepts the equipment in its current condition at the time of purchase, with no warranties or guarantees from the seller regarding its functionality or future performance. It is advisable to inspect the unit thoroughly.

Informazioni tipiche per questa categoria di macchinari. Verifichi sempre i dettagli con il venditore.

Providing compressed air for general workshop tools and pneumatic machinery.
Supplying air for industrial processes such as painting, packaging, and material handling.
Used in manufacturing for assembly lines requiring consistent air pressure.
Supporting food processing operations with clean, dry compressed air for various tasks.

Compressor Type: Mattei compressors are typically rotary vane, known for their quiet operation and direct drive.
Typical Capacity (FAD): For this class of equipment (AC 30L), Free Air Delivery (FAD) commonly ranges from 20 to 40 CFM (cubic feet per minute) or 0.5 to 1.1 m³/min.
Operating Pressure: Units of this type typically operate at pressures between 7.5 and 10 bar (109-145 psi).
Power Supply: Industrial compressors of this size commonly require a 400V, 3-phase electrical supply.
Integrated Dryer: The 'Dryer' in the description indicates an integrated refrigerant dryer, crucial for removing moisture from the compressed air.
Footprint: Compact industrial units like the AC 30L typically have a relatively small footprint, designed for efficient use of space.

Rotary vane compressors are known for their low noise levels, direct drive efficiency, and consistent air delivery, often resulting in lower running costs and longer operational life compared to other compressor types.

Used air compressors for lab and pharma applications are generally valued for reliability and cost savings. Buyers typically prioritize checking maintenance history, confirming pressure ratings meet specific requirements, and verifying oil-free operation where contamination control matters. Key strengths include durability when properly serviced, consistent performance across extended operational hours, and significant capital cost reduction compared to new units. Inspecting seals, checking for corrosion, and confirming recent servicing records are standard considerations when purchasing secondhand.
