What maintenance is typically required for a used electric coffee roaster?

Regular cleaning of the roasting drum, chaff collector, and cooling tray is essential. Inspection of heating elements and electrical connections should also be part of a routine maintenance schedule.

Can this type of roaster handle different roast profiles?

Yes, with experience, operators can achieve various roast profiles from light to dark, depending on temperature and time adjustments. The precision may vary compared to modern, computer-controlled units.

What are the power requirements for a 2kg electric roaster?

While this unit states 230V or 380V, electric roasters of this capacity typically require a dedicated circuit due to their power consumption. Buyers should verify the exact electrical specifications with the seller.

Is a vintage roaster suitable for commercial use?

A vintage 2kg roaster can be suitable for small-scale commercial operations, such as a coffee shop roasting for its own consumption or for sampling. Its output may not suffice for larger wholesale demands.

What safety considerations should be noted for a used electric roaster?

Buyers should ensure the unit has been professionally inspected for electrical safety and proper ventilation. Always operate in a well-ventilated area to manage smoke and exhaust.
