Proseal GTO

• Packaging of ready meals, fresh produce, and baked goods in sealed trays.
• Sealing of meat, poultry, and fish products to extend shelf life.
• Packaging of snacks, confectionery, and convenience foods.
• Used in food processing facilities requiring high-speed, automated tray sealing.

Typical throughput

For this class of automatic in-line tray sealer, throughput commonly ranges from 40 to 80 packs per minute, depending on tray size and film type.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, with an appropriate current rating.

Air supply

Pneumatic operation is common, requiring a compressed air supply, typically 6-8 bar.

Tray materials

Capable of sealing various tray materials including CPET, APET, PP, and aluminium, with suitable film.

Sealing types

Commonly performs heat sealing, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), and skin packing.

Footprint

While compact, automatic in-line machines typically require a dedicated floor space, often several metres in length.

• What kind of tooling does a Proseal GTO use?

Proseal GTO machines use dedicated GTO tooling. The description notes it can run GTR tooling with small modifications, indicating versatility.

• Is this machine suitable for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)?

• What kind of maintenance is typically required for a Proseal GTO?

• Can this machine handle different tray sizes?

• What are the benefits of an automatic in-line tray sealer?

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
