What is a flow wrapper?

A flow wrapper is a horizontal form-fill-seal machine that creates a continuous bag around a product from a roll of film, sealing it with a longitudinal fin seal and two end seals.

What does 'Print Registration' mean?

Print registration ensures that pre-printed film is cut and sealed accurately around the product, aligning graphics correctly on each package. This is crucial for branded products.

What are the benefits of 'All Stainless Steel Construction'?

Stainless steel construction offers superior hygiene, corrosion resistance, and ease of cleaning, making it ideal for food and pharmaceutical applications where strict sanitation is required.

Can this machine handle different product sizes?

The 'Adjustable Folding Box' and 'Flighted Infeed' indicate a degree of flexibility for different product dimensions. However, there will be specific minimum and maximum limits; buyers should verify these with the seller.

What maintenance is typically required for a used flow wrapper?

Regular maintenance for flow wrappers includes checking and replacing wear parts like belts, heaters, and knives, as well as lubrication and calibration. A pre-purchase inspection is recommended.

Wrapping non-food items like small components, medical devices, and consumer goods.
Creating hermetically sealed packages for extended shelf life and hygiene.
High-speed primary packaging for production lines requiring efficient product enclosure.

Typical throughput: Units in this class commonly achieve speeds of 50-200 packages per minute, depending on product size and film type.
Power supply: Flow wrappers of this type typically require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, with varying amperage requirements.
Film compatibility: These machines are generally compatible with various heat-sealable films, including BOPP, laminates, and some barrier films.
Product dimensions: The adjustable folding box and flighted infeed suggest flexibility for a range of product lengths, widths, and heights; buyers should confirm specific ranges with the seller.
Construction materials: The 'All Stainless Steel Construction and contact parts' indicates suitability for hygienic environments, particularly in food processing.
Footprint: For this class of equipment, a typical footprint can range from 2.5 to 4 metres in length, plus space for access and ancillary equipment.

A flow wrapper is a horizontal form-fill-seal machine that creates a continuous bag around a product from a roll of film, sealing it with a longitudinal fin seal and two end seals.

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
