Wright Field - Raised Incline Conveyor

• Transporting bulk food ingredients or finished products between different processing stages.
• Elevating items to hoppers, packaging machines, or higher-level conveyors.
• Moving products over short to medium distances in a continuous flow.
• Integrating into automated production lines for seamless material transfer.

Typical capacity

Throughput for this class of equipment typically ranges from several hundred kilograms to multiple tonnes per hour, depending on belt width and speed.

Power supply

Commonly found on units of this type are 400V, 3-phase, 50Hz electrical supplies, with smaller units potentially using 230V, 1-phase.

Belt material

Belts are typically food-grade PVC, PU, or modular plastic, selected for hygiene and resistance to specific food products.

Incline angle

The incline angle commonly ranges from 15 to 45 degrees, often featuring flights or cleats to prevent product rollback.

Construction material

Frames are typically constructed from stainless steel (304 or 316 grade) for food contact areas and washdown capabilities.

Footprint

The footprint varies significantly, typically requiring several metres in length and a width commensurate with the belt and frame.

• What types of products are suitable for an incline conveyor?

Incline conveyors are suitable for a wide range of bulk food products, including granules, powders, small components, and packaged goods, provided the belt material and flight design are appropriate.

• How is hygiene maintained on these conveyors?

• Can the speed of the conveyor be adjusted?

• What maintenance is typically required?

• Are these conveyors suitable for wet environments?

Buyers typically value conveyor systems for their reliability and longevity when well-maintained. Key considerations when purchasing used units include belt condition, motor functionality, frame integrity, and available spare parts. Industry sentiment emphasises the importance of verifying operational history and cleanliness standards, particularly for food handling applications. Common strengths include robust construction, relatively straightforward maintenance requirements, and cost savings versus new equipment. Reputable manufacturers' models tend to hold their value well and integrate readily into existing production lines.
