Cintex Metal Detector – Shuttle reject belt

• Detecting ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants in packaged food products.
• Ensuring product safety and compliance with food industry standards prior to dispatch.
• Protecting downstream processing equipment from potential damage caused by metal foreign bodies.
• Used in bakeries, confectioneries, meat processing, and ready meal production lines.

Typical throughput

Varies significantly based on product size and line speed; units of this type commonly handle hundreds to thousands of items per minute.

Power supply

Typically 230V, single-phase, 50Hz, with a low power consumption.

Operating temperature

Commonly designed for ambient factory conditions, typically 0°C to 40°C.

Construction materials

Frames and contact parts are typically stainless steel for hygiene and durability in food environments.

Reject mechanism

Shuttle reject systems are common for diverting contaminated products efficiently into a collection bin.

Belt speed

Adjustable belt speeds are typically available to integrate with existing production lines.

Sensitivity

For this class of equipment, sensitivity levels are typically adjustable to detect very small metal particles, depending on product effect.

• What types of metal can this detector identify?

Cintex metal detectors are designed to identify ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants. The exact sensitivity for each type of metal can be adjusted.

• Is this unit suitable for wet or washdown environments?

• How is the shuttle reject system controlled?

• What maintenance is typically required for a unit like this?

• Can the aperture size be adjusted?

• What kind of products is a 600mm belt width suitable for?

Metal detectors for food processing remain reliable workhorses in quality control operations. Buyers typically value their durability and consistent contamination detection capability. When purchasing used units, inspecting calibration history and sensitivity settings proves essential. Industry sentiment favours machines with straightforward maintenance records and minimal downtime. Common strengths include robust construction, straightforward operation, and cost-effectiveness compared to new equipment. Prospective buyers should verify functional testing documentation and assess integration compatibility with existing production lines.
