Unknown - Incline Conveyor

• Transporting bulk food products from one processing stage to a higher one, such as feeding a multihead weigher or packaging machine.
• Moving ingredients like grains, nuts, or prepared vegetables upwards into mixers, hoppers, or storage silos.
• Facilitating ergonomic loading and unloading of processing equipment by elevating products to a comfortable working height.
• Integrating into automated production lines to maintain a continuous flow of product through different elevation changes.

Typical capacity

Throughput for this class of equipment commonly ranges from 500 kg/hr to several tonnes/hr, depending on belt width and incline angle.

Power supply

Units of this type typically operate on a 3-phase industrial power supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, with varying motor power.

Belt material

Belts are commonly food-grade PVC, PU, or modular plastic, selected for hygiene and product compatibility.

Incline angle

Typical incline angles range from 20 to 45 degrees, often with flights or cleats to prevent product rollback.

Construction material

Frames are typically constructed from stainless steel (grade 304 or 316) for hygiene and corrosion resistance in food environments.

Footprint

The footprint will vary significantly based on the required elevation change and belt length, typically requiring several square metres of floor space.

• What types of food products are suitable for an incline conveyor?

Incline conveyors are suitable for a wide range of bulk food products, including granular, diced, frozen, and fresh items, provided the belt type and flights are appropriate.

• How important is the belt material for food applications?

• What maintenance is typically required for an incline conveyor?

• Can incline conveyors be integrated into existing production lines?

• Are there different types of flights or cleats available?

Buyers typically value conveyor systems for their reliability and longevity when well-maintained. Key considerations when purchasing used units include belt condition, motor functionality, frame integrity, and available spare parts. Industry sentiment emphasises the importance of verifying operational history and cleanliness standards, particularly for food handling applications. Common strengths include robust construction, relatively straightforward maintenance requirements, and cost savings versus new equipment. Reputable manufacturers' models tend to hold their value well and integrate readily into existing production lines.
