Laser - Rotary Molder

• Forming a wide variety of biscuits, cookies, and crackers from dough.
• Producing consistent shapes and sizes for baked goods.
• High-volume production lines in industrial bakeries.
• Creating embossed or engraved designs on dough pieces.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can range from several hundred kilograms to over a tonne per hour, depending on product size and drum configuration.

Power supply

Commonly found on units of this type is a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with varying amperage requirements.

Pan compatibility

This unit accepts pans up to 30x18 inches, which is a common size for industrial bakery applications.

Molding drum material

Molding drums are typically made from engraved bronze or other food-grade metals for durability and precise pattern transfer.

Footprint

Rotary molders typically require a significant operational footprint, often several metres in length, plus space for infeed and outfeed conveyors.

Dough type suitability

Generally suitable for short-doughs and other doughs with specific rheological properties designed for rotary molding.

• What maintenance is typically required for a used rotary molder?

Routine maintenance typically involves cleaning, lubrication of moving parts, and inspection of the molding drum and conveyor belts for wear. Bearings and drive components may require periodic replacement.

• Can different biscuit shapes be produced with this machine?

• What considerations are there for integrating this into an existing line?

• Is this machine suitable for gluten-free products?

• What is the typical lifespan of a rotary molder drum?

Cookie and cracker machines hold strong reputation for reliability and consistent output when properly maintained. Buyers typically prioritise machines with clear production histories and accessible spare parts availability. Common strengths include durability of mechanical components and ability to handle recipe variations. When purchasing used equipment, inspect roller condition, die sets, and automation features carefully. Consider production capacity against facility requirements and verify maintenance records. Machines from established manufacturers generally command confidence in secondary markets due to proven performance and ongoing support networks.
