LEONHARDT DOSING MACHINE

• Dosing of viscous and semi-viscous products in food processing.
• Accurate filling of liquids and pastes into various containers.
• Portioning of sauces, jams, and dairy products.
• Dispensing of cosmetic creams and pharmaceutical gels.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly based on product viscosity and dose size, but units commonly offer adjustable dosing volumes.

Power supply

Units of this type typically operate on standard industrial single-phase or three-phase electrical supplies, commonly 230V or 400V, 50Hz.

Dosing mechanism

Leonhardt dosing machines commonly utilise a piston or rotary valve system for volumetric accuracy.

Material compatibility

Components in contact with the product are typically made from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316), suitable for a range of food and chemical products.

Integration

This model, described as pumping direct from IBCs, indicates suitability for integration into larger production lines or for standalone operation with bulk containers.

Control interface

Units commonly feature a simple control panel, often with a foot switch for manual operation, allowing for precise control over dosing cycles.

• What types of products can this machine handle?

This type of large bore dosing machine is typically suitable for viscous and semi-viscous products, including pastes, creams, sauces, and products with small particulates.

• Is this machine suitable for continuous production?

• What kind of maintenance is typically required for a used dosing machine?

• Can the dosing volume be easily adjusted?

• What are the typical footprint requirements for a unit like this?

Filling machines remain sought-after on the secondhand market due to their durability and long operational lifespan. Buyers typically value models from established manufacturers known for robust construction. When purchasing used units, inspectors should verify seal integrity, calibration accuracy, and maintenance history, as these directly affect product consistency and line efficiency. Common strengths include straightforward mechanical design facilitating repairs and adaptability to different container sizes. Reliability and minimal downtime are frequently cited priorities among processors seeking cost-effective production solutions.
