Petroncini 240Kg

• Large-scale commercial coffee roasting operations.
• Speciality coffee producers requiring high throughput.
• Coffee bean processing plants for wholesale distribution.
• Food and beverage manufacturers producing coffee-based products.

Typical capacity

This unit is specified at 240kg per batch. Roasters in this class typically range from 120kg to 300kg.

Power supply

Industrial coffee roasters commonly require a three-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with varying amperage depending on heating elements and motor power.

Heating method

Petroncini roasters typically utilise gas (natural gas or LPG) for the roasting process, with electrical components for controls and motors.

Ancillary equipment

Units of this type commonly include an afterburner for emissions control, a cooling tray, a husk chamber, and a destoner for bean quality.

Footprint

For this class of equipment, a significant industrial footprint is required, accommodating the roaster, afterburner, cooling tray, and associated ducting.

Control system

Modern Petroncini roasters typically feature PLC-based control systems for precise temperature and time management.

• What is an afterburner and why is it included?

An afterburner is an emissions control device designed to burn off smoke and volatile organic compounds produced during the roasting process, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

• What maintenance is typically required for a used coffee roaster?

• Can this roaster handle different types of coffee beans?

• What are the typical installation requirements for a roaster of this size?

• What is the purpose of the destoner?

Used roasters are valued for their durability and cost effectiveness in food processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise even heat distribution, temperature control consistency, and robust construction when selecting secondhand units. Industry sentiment favours roasters from established manufacturers known for reliable performance. Key considerations include maintenance history, heating element condition, and capacity matching operational requirements. Well-maintained roasters often deliver dependable service across coffee roasting, nut processing, and other food applications, making them sound investments for processors seeking to minimise capital expenditure.
