Trimming Table

• Used for manual trimming and preparation of various food products, including meat, fish, poultry, and vegetables.
• Suitable for portioning and quality control tasks in food processing lines.
• Applicable in facilities requiring dedicated hygienic workstations for product handling.
• Utilised in fish processing plants for filleting, deboning, and portioning operations.
• Can serve as a clean assembly or packing station for delicate food items.

Typical footprint

Work tables of this class commonly range from 120cm to 250cm in length and 70cm to 150cm in width, with heights typically around 85cm to 95cm.

Construction material

Frames and main surfaces are typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and durability.

Work surface material

Trimming boards are commonly made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or similar food-safe plastics, known for their durability and ease of cleaning.

Power supply

Units of this type are typically unpowered, relying on manual operation. Any integrated features like lighting or waste disposal may require a standard single-phase electrical supply (e.g., 230V, 50Hz in the UK).

Hygiene and cleaning

Designed for easy cleaning with smooth, non-porous surfaces and often feature removable cutting boards for thorough sanitation.

Ergonomics

Many units are designed with adjustable feet or castors to allow for ergonomic working heights and mobility within the processing area.

• What are the common benefits of a stainless steel trimming table?

Stainless steel offers excellent hygiene, corrosion resistance, and durability, making it ideal for food processing environments where cleanliness and longevity are critical. It is also easy to sanitise.

• Are the cutting boards typically replaceable?

• What kind of maintenance does a trimming table require?

• Can these tables be integrated into existing processing lines?

• Are there specific hygiene standards for trimming tables in the UK?

Food processing work tables are valued for durability and hygiene compliance. Buyers typically prioritize stainless steel construction, which resists corrosion and withstands frequent cleaning. When purchasing used equipment, inspecting surface condition for damage or staining is essential, along with verifying stability of legs and joints. Industry sentiment reflects appreciation for robust build quality and ease of maintenance. Second-hand units often represent strong value, provided they meet food safety standards and structural integrity remains sound.
