Tubro Systems Ltd - VP200P Transfer Pump

• Transferring viscous food products such as purees, sauces, and pastes within processing lines.
• Moving delicate food items like fruit fillings or prepared salads without causing damage.
• Handling slurries and semi-solid food waste for disposal or further processing.
• Loading and unloading bulk ingredients from storage tanks or containers.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, capacities commonly range from 5,000 to 20,000 litres per hour, depending on product viscosity and pump configuration.

Power supply

Units of this type typically operate on a 3-phase industrial power supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz.

Pump type

Transfer pumps for food processing are often positive displacement types, such as rotary lobe or progressive cavity, suitable for viscous products.

Material construction

Food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) is standard for all product contact parts to ensure hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Inlet/outlet connections

Commonly feature hygienic connections such as Tri-Clamp or DIN fittings, with sizes typically ranging from 2 to 4 inches.

Typical footprint

A unit of this nature typically requires a floor space of approximately 1.0m x 0.7m, plus clearance for maintenance and pipework.

• What types of products can a VP200P transfer pump handle?

This category of pump is generally suitable for a wide range of food products, from thin liquids to highly viscous pastes, and often includes products with small particulates.

• Is this pump suitable for continuous operation?

• What maintenance is typically required for a pump of this kind?

• Can this pump be integrated into an existing processing line?

• Are spare parts readily available for this model?

Food processing pumps are valued for reliability and durability in continuous operations. Buyers typically prioritise corrosion resistance, hygiene compliance, and consistent flow rates. When purchasing used units, inspecting seals, impellers and motor condition proves essential. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance requirements and availability of spare parts. Stainless steel construction and gentle handling capabilities for delicate products are consistently sought features.
