Gump 77

• Commercial coffee roasting facilities requiring consistent grind sizes for bulk packaging.
• Food processing plants producing ground coffee for various product formulations.
• Speciality food manufacturers needing a reliable grinder for coffee-based ingredients.
• Large-scale catering or institutional kitchens preparing significant volumes of coffee.

Typical throughput

For this class of industrial coffee grinder, throughput commonly ranges from 500 kg/hr to over 1000 kg/hr, depending on the desired grind fineness.

Grinding mechanism

Units of this type typically employ robust roller mill technology, designed for consistent particle size reduction and durability.

Power supply

Industrial grinders commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz in the UK, with motor ratings varying based on capacity.

Footprint

While specific dimensions vary, industrial roller mills generally require a dedicated floor area, often with height considerations for hopper loading and discharge.

Material construction

Typically constructed from heavy-duty steel, with grinding components made from hardened alloys for wear resistance.

Maintenance requirements

Units of this vintage are known for their robust design, typically requiring routine checks of rollers, bearings, and drive systems, along with periodic cleaning.

Hoppers and feeders are regarded as reliable workhorses in food processing operations. Buyers typically value models offering consistent material flow, easy cleaning access, and durable construction. When purchasing used equipment, inspecting for corrosion, wear on internal surfaces, and proper sealing mechanisms is essential. Industry sentiment favours units with adjustable feed rates and compatibility with existing production lines. Stainless steel construction and straightforward maintenance requirements are commonly cited strengths, making these systems practical long-term investments for processing facilities.
