Oddy Bread Roll Plant and Pinner

• Producing a consistent range of bread rolls for bakeries and food service.
• Automating the dividing and rounding process for various dough types.
• Integrating into existing bread production lines to increase efficiency.
• Manufacturing speciality rolls with interchangeable moulds.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput commonly ranges from 1,000 to 6,000 pieces per hour, depending on roll size and configuration.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz.

Dough weight range

A bread roll plant typically handles dough pieces ranging from 20g to 120g, adjustable for different roll sizes.

Footprint

The footprint for a combined plant and pinner can vary, but typically requires a space of approximately 2.5m to 4m in length and 1m to 1.5m in width.

Construction material

Components in contact with food are typically stainless steel, with other structural elements often made from painted mild steel.

Air supply

Pneumatic systems commonly found on units of this type may require a compressed air supply, typically 6-8 bar.

• What types of dough can this machine process?

Bread roll plants are generally designed to process a variety of yeast-leavened doughs, including white, wholemeal, and enriched doughs, suitable for rolls and buns.

• Are spare parts readily available for Oddy equipment?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used bread roll plant?

• Can this unit produce different shapes of rolls?

• What is the purpose of the 'pinner' component?

Dough handling and sheeting accessories are valued for improving bakery workflow efficiency and consistency. Buyers typically seek well-maintained rollers, dividers and moulds that operate smoothly without excessive wear. Key considerations include motor condition, alignment accuracy, and compatibility with existing production lines. These accessories generally perform reliably when properly serviced, with stainless steel components particularly appreciated for durability in commercial kitchens. Mechanical simplicity often makes repairs straightforward.
