ABM Ball Roller

• Used in the confectionery industry for shaping various sweet products into spherical forms.
• Applicable in the pharmaceutical sector for creating uniform pills or tablets.
• Utilised in food processing for forming dough balls, meat products, or other spherical food items.
• Can be found in ceramic production for shaping clay or other malleable materials.

Typical capacity

Typically, units of this class can process between 50 kg/h and 300 kg/h, depending on the product and desired ball size.

Power supply

Commonly requires a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with power consumption varying from 1.5 kW to 7.5 kW.

Suitable feed material

Designed for pliable, semi-solid, or paste-like materials that can be extruded or fed into forming rollers.

Ball diameter range

Units typically offer a ball diameter range from 5mm to 50mm, often requiring interchangeable dies or rollers.

Construction material

For food and pharmaceutical applications, contact parts are commonly made from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316).

Footprint

For this class of equipment, a typical footprint might be around 1.0m x 0.8m to 1.5m x 1.0m, excluding any ancillary equipment.

• What maintenance is typically required for an ABM Ball Roller?

Routine maintenance commonly involves cleaning of contact parts, lubrication of moving components, and inspection of rollers and belts for wear. Specific schedules will depend on usage and manufacturer guidelines.

• Can this machine handle different product types?

• Is this unit suitable for continuous operation?

• What safety features are commonly found on these machines?

• Are spare parts readily available for a used ABM Ball Roller?

Forming machines are regarded as reliable workhorses in food processing facilities. Buyers typically value consistent output quality and durability when selecting used units. Key considerations include checking wear on forming dies, verifying production speed capabilities, and assessing maintenance history. These machines generally perform well with minimal downtime when properly maintained. Common strengths include straightforward operation, compatibility with various food products, and long operational lifespan. Inspecting hydraulic systems and electrical components thoroughly before purchase remains essential.
