Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, a 90kg designation typically refers to the green bean batch capacity per roast.

Power supply

Roasters of this size commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply for motors and controls, in addition to gas for heating.

Heating medium

Units of this type are typically gas-fired, with options for natural gas or LPG (propane) being common.

Roast time

Typical roast times for a batch of this size can range from 12 to 20 minutes, depending on the desired profile and bean type.

Cooling system

Integrated cooling systems are standard for this capacity, rapidly cooling beans post-roast to halt the roasting process.
