Typically operates on standard single-phase mains electricity, commonly 230V, 50Hz for the UK market.

Pump head type

Often features a multi-roller pump head designed for precision and minimal pulsation.

Tubing compatibility

Designed to accommodate various tubing materials and sizes, crucial for different fluid types and sterility requirements.

Control interface

Commonly includes a user-friendly interface with programmable dispensing parameters.

Footprint

For this class of laboratory equipment, units typically have a compact benchtop design.

• What are the key advantages of a peristaltic pump like the Lidis 10 series?

Peristaltic pumps offer contamination-free pumping as the fluid only contacts the tubing. They are also known for their accuracy, gentle handling of shear-sensitive fluids, and ease of cleaning/sterilisation through tubing replacement.

• Is this unit suitable for sterile applications?

• What kind of maintenance does a used peristaltic pump typically require?

• Can this pump handle viscous liquids?

• Are spare parts and tubing readily available for Cherwell Lidis 10 series pumps?

Peristaltic pumps are valued in laboratory and pharmaceutical settings for their gentle, non-contact fluid handling, making them suitable for delicate samples and sterile applications. When buying used units, buyers typically prioritise checking tubing condition, motor functionality, and calibration history. Industry sentiment favours these pumps for their reliability, low maintenance requirements, and consistent flow rates. Common strengths include versatility across various fluid viscosities and compatibility with corrosive or shear-sensitive media. Prospective buyers should verify spare parts availability for specific models.
