Typical throughput

For this class of manual or semi-automatic tray sealer, throughput typically ranges from 4 to 10 cycles per minute, depending on operator efficiency and tray size.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly operate on a standard single-phase 230V, 50Hz electrical supply, requiring a modest power draw.

Sealing technology

Ilpra Basic VG models typically utilise heat sealing technology to create a secure, hermetic seal on trays.

Tray material compatibility

This equipment is generally compatible with a range of tray materials, including CPET, APET, PP, and aluminium, provided suitable film is used.

Film compatibility

Commonly uses roll-fed lidding film, which can be plain or printed, suitable for heat sealing to the tray material.

Footprint

As a compact, portable unit, it typically occupies a small footprint, suitable for countertop use or on its dedicated trolley.

Die sets

The inclusion of multiple die sets indicates versatility for sealing different tray sizes and configurations, a common feature for adaptable production.

• What types of trays can this machine seal?

This machine is typically designed to seal pre-formed trays made from materials like CPET, APET, and PP, using a compatible lidding film. The specific tray sizes are determined by the included die sets.

• Is this machine suitable for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP)?

• What maintenance is typically required for a tray sealer like this?

• Can I get spare parts and additional die sets for an Ilpra Basic VG?

• What are the power requirements for this unit?

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
