LABCOLD RLDF1510 Climatic Class 4 Refrigerator - IMA C21

• Packaging of tea bags with string and tag into heat-sealed envelopes.
• Automated cartoning of individual or overwrapped tea bag units.
• Overwrapping of multiple tea bags for retail or bulk packaging.
• Suitable for producers requiring high-volume tea bag packaging and secondary packaging.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 200 to 400 tea bags per minute, depending on the specific configuration and product.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with varying power consumption based on ancillary features.

Tea bag dimensions

This specific unit is set up for 45mm x 60mm tea bags, with an option for 40mm x 60mm. Other sizes are commonly achievable on similar machines with change parts.

Packaging materials

Typically processes filter paper for tea bags, with various film types for overwrapping and carton board for cartoning.

Automation level

Features automatic tea bagging, string and tag application, heat sealing, and either automatic cartoning or overwrapping.

Footprint

A machine with both bagging and secondary packaging (cartoning or overwrapping) will require a significant operational footprint, typically several metres in length.

• Can this machine handle different tea bag sizes?

This unit is currently configured for 45mm x 60mm tea bags, with an option to change to 40mm x 60mm. For other sizes, change parts would typically be required, and buyers should confirm availability with the seller.

• Is it possible to use both the cartoning unit and the overwrapper simultaneously?

• What kind of maintenance is typically required for a machine like this?

• What is the typical lead time for installation and commissioning?

• Can this machine process products other than tea?

Cartoning equipment holds strong reputation for reliability in pharmaceutical and food processing sectors. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent case erection, product loading and sealing with minimal downtime. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on servo motors, gripper mechanisms and seal tooling, as these components incur significant usage. Industry sentiment favours models demonstrating straightforward maintenance access and parts availability. Durable construction and precise automation remain key strengths. Operational history and maintenance records prove essential evaluation criteria for secondhand purchases.
