Various - LAZY SUE TURN TABLES

• Used for manual product rotation during assembly or inspection tasks.
• Facilitates easy access to items on a workstation without needing to reposition the operator.
• Commonly integrated into packing lines for presenting products to operators.
• Useful in food processing for decorating or finishing tasks requiring all-round access.

Typical table diameter

Commonly ranges from 300mm to 1000mm, depending on the model and intended use.

Construction material

For this class of equipment, tables are typically stainless steel or food-grade plastic, with bases often made from stainless steel or painted mild steel.

Drive mechanism

Most 'Lazy Sue' type tables are manually rotated. Powered versions, if available, would typically use a small electric motor.

Load capacity

Varies significantly by model, but units of this type are generally designed for light to moderate loads, typically up to 50kg.

Footprint

The footprint is largely dictated by the table diameter, with a stable base slightly smaller or equal to the table.

Maintenance requirements

Generally low; primarily involves keeping the rotating mechanism clean and occasionally lubricating bearings if present.

• Are these suitable for food contact applications?

Units with stainless steel or food-grade plastic tables are typically suitable for food contact. Buyers should confirm specific material grades with the seller.

• Can these be integrated into existing production lines?

• What is the typical lifespan of a used Lazy Sue turntable?

• Are spare parts readily available for these units?

Rotary tables and indexing systems are valued in food processing for their reliability in automating product handling and storage workflows. Buyers typically prioritise stainless steel construction and corrosion resistance given food safety requirements. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should check bearing condition, indexing accuracy, and cleanliness of surfaces. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance and proven track records in high-volume production environments. Durability and precise positioning capabilities remain key strengths attracting continued buyer interest.
