Maso Meat Pump

• Transferring minced or emulsified meat products within a processing line.
• Feeding filling machines for sausages, pies, or ready meals.
• Depositing precise portions of meat mixes into containers or onto production lines.
• Handling high-viscosity meat pastes and slurries in a hygienic manner.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, capacities commonly range from 500 kg/hour to several tonnes/hour, depending on product viscosity and pump configuration.

Power supply

Units of this type typically operate on a 3-phase industrial electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz in the UK.

Pump type

Maso pumps are generally positive displacement pumps, often rotary lobe or sinusoidal, suitable for viscous products and gentle handling.

Materials of construction

Product contact parts are typically made from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Footprint

Mounted on a mobile stand, the footprint is typically compact, allowing for flexible placement within a production facility.

Discharge pressure

These pumps are capable of generating sufficient pressure for transferring products over distances and through depositing devices, typically up to 10-15 bar.

• What kind of products can a Maso Meat Pump handle?

Maso pumps are designed for viscous, delicate, and particulate-laden products, making them suitable for minced meat, sausages mixes, pâtés, and other meat-based emulsions.

• Is this pump suitable for continuous operation?

• What maintenance is typically required for a pump of this nature?

• How does the mobile stand and control panel benefit operation?

• What does 'depositing device' imply?

• Are Maso pumps easy to clean?

Food processing pumps are valued for reliability and durability in continuous operations. Buyers typically prioritise corrosion resistance, hygiene compliance, and consistent flow rates. When purchasing used units, inspecting seals, impellers and motor condition proves essential. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance requirements and availability of spare parts. Stainless steel construction and gentle handling capabilities for delicate products are consistently sought features.
