MEYN/SYSTEMATE CHICKEN CUT UP LINE

• High-volume poultry processing plants for automated chicken portioning.
• Food manufacturing facilities requiring consistent cuts for further processing.
• Wholesale meat suppliers looking to increase efficiency in chicken preparation.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, capacities commonly range from 4,000 to 8,000 birds per hour (BPH).

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a three-phase industrial power supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz in the UK.

Cutting modules

Modular systems like this often include various cutting stations for wing tips, whole wings, front halves, leg cutters, and leg quarters.

Material construction

Equipment in this category is typically constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability in food processing environments.

Suitable bird types

Automated cut-up lines are generally designed to process both broilers and hens, with potential for adjustment based on bird size.

Footprint

A complete cut-up line can require a significant linear footprint, which varies depending on the number and arrangement of modules.

• What maintenance is typically required for a used cut-up line?

Regular maintenance for used units typically involves checking and replacing blades, lubricating moving parts, inspecting conveyor belts, and ensuring all safety mechanisms are functional. A thorough pre-purchase inspection is advisable.

• Can the cutting modules be reconfigured or added to?

• What are the typical hygiene and cleaning requirements?

• Is specialist installation required for this type of equipment?

• What spare parts are commonly needed for a Meyn/Systemate line?

Food processing cutters and dicers are valued for consistent product sizing and improved throughput in commercial kitchens and production facilities. Buyers typically prioritise robust construction, ease of cleaning, and reliable blade systems when purchasing used models. The equipment maintains strong reputation for durability across multiple shift operations. Key considerations include motor condition, blade sharpness, and safety guard integrity. Well-maintained units from established manufacturers generally deliver reliable performance at lower capital cost than new alternatives.
