Units of this type commonly measure pressures relevant to bioprocessing, often in the kPa or psi range.

Sensor type

Typically uses a pressure mat sensor, designed for non-invasive measurement.

Connectivity

Commonly features USB or Ethernet for data output and integration with control systems.

Display

Often includes an integrated digital display for real-time pressure readings.

Power supply

Typically operates on standard laboratory power, often 100-240V AC, with a DC adapter.

Data logging

Many models offer internal data logging capabilities or software for external logging.

• What is the primary function of a Pendotech PMAT3?

The Pendotech PMAT3 is designed to non-invasively monitor pressure within single-use bioprocess systems, particularly in applications involving filtration or fluid transfer.

• Is this unit suitable for sterile environments?

• What kind of maintenance does a pressure mat sensor require?

• Can this monitor be integrated with other process control systems?

• What is the typical accuracy for this class of pressure sensor?

Pressure sensors and monitors are valued for their reliability and precision in laboratory and pharmaceutical applications. Buyers typically prioritise accuracy, calibration history, and compatibility with existing systems when purchasing used units. Industry sentiment recognises these instruments as durable workhorses that retain functionality well when properly maintained. Key considerations include verification of calibration certificates, condition of sensing elements, and documentation of previous usage. Well-maintained examples from reputable manufacturers generally offer strong value and dependable performance.
