Probat UW246

• Commercial coffee roasting operations requiring precise particle size reduction.
• Specialty food processing where fine grinding of dry, friable materials is necessary.
• Production of ingredients for baking, confectionery, or beverage industries.
• Preparation of spices and herbs for industrial use.

Typical capacity

For this class of industrial roller mill, output commonly ranges from 100 to 300 kg per hour, depending on the desired grind size and product density.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a three-phase industrial power supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz in European installations.

Grinding mechanism

Utilises precision rollers to achieve a consistent and fine grind, suitable for applications like Turkish coffee.

Suitable feed material

Primarily designed for dry, roasted coffee beans, but can be adapted for other friable granular materials.

Footprint

Industrial roller mills typically require a dedicated floor space, with dimensions varying but generally substantial for stability and access.

Material of construction

Commonly features robust steel construction for the main frame and high-wear alloys for grinding components.

• What is a roller mill primarily used for?

Roller mills are primarily used for precise and consistent grinding of dry, friable materials, often achieving finer particle sizes than other grinding methods.

• Can this machine produce different grind sizes?

• What maintenance is typically required for a roller mill?

• Is this type of grinder suitable for oily or wet products?

• What safety features are commonly found on industrial grinders?

Food processing mills are valued for consistent particle size reduction across grain, spice and dry ingredient applications. Buyers typically prioritise motor condition, grinding chamber cleanliness and wear on grinding elements when purchasing used equipment. Industry sentiment highlights reliability and longevity as key strengths, particularly with well-maintained units. Attention should be given to throughput capacity matching production needs and compatibility with existing systems. Corrosion resistance matters for hygiene-sensitive environments. Reputable machines from established manufacturers generally command buyer confidence in the secondary market.
