Sartorius Checkweigher

• Ensuring products meet specified weight tolerances in food packaging lines.
• Minimising product giveaway and reducing material waste.
• Detecting under- or over-weight packages for quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Integrating with upstream and downstream equipment for automated rejection or sorting.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, units commonly handle products up to 2 kg, aligning with the model designation.

Throughput

Typically, checkweighers of this type can process between 60 to 200 items per minute, depending on product size and stability.

Power supply

Units commonly require a standard industrial single-phase supply, typically 230V AC, 50Hz.

Conveyor width

Belt widths are commonly found between 150mm and 300mm for this type of checkweigher, suitable for various package sizes.

Accuracy

Typically, accuracy for this equipment class is around +/- 0.1g to 1g, depending on throughput and product characteristics.

Construction materials

Commonly, contact parts are stainless steel for hygiene, with the frame often also stainless steel or painted mild steel.

• What is the typical lifespan of a used checkweigher?

With proper maintenance, a well-built checkweigher can operate reliably for 10-15 years or more. Key components like load cells and belts may require periodic replacement.

• Can this checkweigher be integrated into an existing production line?

• What kind of products are suitable for this checkweigher?

• What maintenance is typically required for a checkweigher?

• Does a used checkweigher require recalibration upon installation?

Checkweighers are valued in food processing for reliable weight verification and compliance support. Buyers typically prioritise accuracy, speed, and ease of integration with existing production lines. When purchasing used units, inspecting calibration history, mechanical condition, and software functionality proves important. Industry sentiment favours models offering consistent performance, straightforward maintenance, and robust build quality. Durable construction and proven track records across multiple production environments remain key considerations for buyers assessing secondhand equipment.
