Siat Case Taper

• Sealing filled cases in end-of-line packaging processes.
• Automating carton closure in food manufacturing and distribution.
• Securing goods for transit in various industrial settings.
• Integrating into existing conveyor systems for continuous operation.

Typical throughput

Units of this class commonly process between 10 to 30 cases per minute, depending on case size and operator interaction.

Power supply

Siat case tapers typically require a standard single-phase electrical supply, often 230V, 50Hz, with a low power consumption.

Case size range

For this class of equipment, typical minimum case dimensions are around 150mm (L) x 100mm (W) x 100mm (H), with maximums up to 600mm (L) x 500mm (W) x 500mm (H). Exact ranges vary by specific model configuration.

Tape width

Commonly uses 50mm or 75mm wide adhesive tape rolls.

Footprint

A typical Siat SM8 unit requires a floor space of approximately 1000mm (L) x 800mm (W) x 1400mm (H), plus space for infeed and outfeed conveyors.

Construction material

Frames are typically constructed from painted steel, suitable for general industrial environments.

• What type of cases can this machine seal?

This type of case taper is designed to seal regular slotted containers (RSC) made from corrugated cardboard. It applies tape to both the top and bottom flaps simultaneously.

• Is this machine suitable for washdown environments?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used case taper?

• Can this unit be integrated into an existing production line?

• What are the common wear parts on a case taper?

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
