Tecan Genesis 150 2002 Liquid Handling Station Spares

• Automated serial dilutions in pharmaceutical research.
• High-throughput screening in drug discovery.
• Genomic and proteomic sample preparation.
• ELISA and cell-based assay automation.
• Compound management and plate replication.

Typical capacity

Units of this type commonly handle 96-well and 384-well microplates, with some configurations supporting up to 1536-well plates.

Power supply

Typically requires a standard laboratory power supply, commonly 230V, 50Hz in the UK, with specific amperage depending on configuration.

Footprint

For this class of equipment, a Genesis 150 typically occupies a significant benchtop space, often around 1500mm to 2000mm in width.

Liquid handling volume range

Commonly capable of dispensing volumes from sub-microlitre to several millilitres, depending on the pipetting head installed.

Throughput

Throughput varies greatly with assay complexity and plate density, but automated systems like this are designed for high-volume processing.

Connectivity

Units typically feature standard communication ports (e.g., RS-232, USB, Ethernet) for integration with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or other automation.

• What does 'SPARES ONLY' mean for this listing?

This indicates the unit is not being sold as a fully functional, complete system. It is intended for parts to repair other units or for components to be repurposed.

• Can this unit be refurbished to full working order?

• Are there any guarantees on the functionality of individual components?

• What are common spare parts needed for a Tecan Genesis 150?

• Is software included with a 'SPARES ONLY' unit?

Liquid handling stations are valued in laboratory and pharmaceutical settings for their precision and repeatability in fluid transfer tasks. When purchasing used equipment, buyers typically prioritise verifying calibration history, checking for corrosion or wear on critical components, and confirming software compatibility. The sector generally regards these systems as reliable workhorses when properly maintained. Common strengths include accuracy in dispensing, reduced operator fatigue, and consistent results across batches. Buyers should examine pump condition and control system functionality carefully.
