Watson Marlow 630S Peristaltic Pump

• Precision chemical dosing and metering in industrial processes.
• Sterile fluid transfer in pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing.
• Handling abrasive or corrosive slurries in various industrial settings.
• Accurate fluid delivery in laboratory and pilot-scale operations.
• Food and beverage processing for sensitive or hygienic fluid transfer.

Typical flow rate range

For this class of equipment, flow rates commonly range from a few millilitres per minute up to several litres per minute, depending on tubing size and drive speed.

Power supply

Units of this type typically operate on standard single-phase industrial power, often 230V AC, 50/60Hz, for the UK market.

Control interface

Commonly features a digital display and keypad for precise flow rate adjustment and calibration.

Tubing material compatibility

Designed to accommodate various tubing materials (e.g., silicone, Marprene, Bioprene) to suit different fluid chemistries and application requirements.

IP rating

Many industrial peristaltic pumps offer an IP rating suitable for washdown environments, typically IP31 or higher for the drive unit.

Footprint

Typically a compact benchtop or panel-mount unit, designed for integration into existing systems or laboratory setups.

• What are the primary benefits of using a peristaltic pump?

Peristaltic pumps offer contamination-free pumping as the fluid only contacts the tubing, making them ideal for sterile or sensitive fluids. They also provide high accuracy and are easy to maintain by simply replacing the tube.

• How do I choose the correct tubing for my application?

• Can this pump handle viscous fluids?

• What maintenance is typically required for a peristaltic pump?

• Is this pump suitable for continuous operation?

Peristaltic pumps are valued in laboratory and pharmaceutical settings for their gentle, non-contact fluid handling, making them suitable for delicate samples and sterile applications. When buying used units, buyers typically prioritise checking tubing condition, motor functionality, and calibration history. Industry sentiment favours these pumps for their reliability, low maintenance requirements, and consistent flow rates. Common strengths include versatility across various fluid viscosities and compatibility with corrosive or shear-sensitive media. Prospective buyers should verify spare parts availability for specific models.
