Winyard 2000 Transfer Pump

• Transferring viscous liquids and semi-solids in food processing.
• Moving soups, sauces, and purees within production lines.
• Handling dairy products such as yoghurts and creams.
• Pumping fruit preparations and confectionery fillings.
• Suitable for pharmaceutical and cosmetic product transfer where hygiene is critical.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, capacities commonly range from 500 to 5,000 litres per hour, depending on product viscosity and pump configuration.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly operate on a 400V, 3-phase, 50Hz electrical supply, requiring appropriate industrial connections.

Pump type

Given the description, this is likely a positive displacement pump, suitable for handling viscous products without significant shear.

Construction material

Typically, wetted parts are constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) to ensure hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Typical footprint

A unit of this size and type might typically occupy a floor space of approximately 0.5m x 0.8m, plus ancillary pipework.

Maximum product temperature

Commonly, these pumps are designed to handle products up to 90-95°C, though specific seals and elastomers will define the exact limit.

• What maintenance is typically required for a transfer pump like this?

Routine maintenance commonly involves checking seals, bearings, and O-rings for wear, and ensuring all connections are secure. Regular cleaning and sanitisation are also critical, especially in food processing applications.

• Can this pump handle products with small particulates?

• Is this pump suitable for CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems?

• What kind of viscosity can this pump handle?

• What additional equipment might be needed to integrate this pump?

Food processing pumps are valued for reliability and durability in continuous operations. Buyers typically prioritise corrosion resistance, hygiene compliance, and consistent flow rates. When purchasing used units, inspecting seals, impellers and motor condition proves essential. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance requirements and availability of spare parts. Stainless steel construction and gentle handling capabilities for delicate products are consistently sought features.
