Glass - VSM 150 Mixer Marinator

• Marinating meat, poultry, and seafood products to enhance flavour and tenderness.
• Mixing salads, vegetables, and other delicate food items without damage.
• Tumbling dry ingredients with liquids or spices for even coating.
• Curing various food products, such as bacon or ham, for preservation and flavour development.

Typical capacity

For a VSM 150 model, the drum capacity is typically around 150 litres, suitable for medium-batch processing.

Power supply

Units of this class commonly operate on a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz.

Construction material

The drum and contact parts are typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and durability.

Vacuum system

VSM models commonly feature an integrated vacuum pump to facilitate faster and more effective marination and product absorption.

Control system

Typically includes a programmable logic controller (PLC) with a user-friendly interface for setting process parameters like cycle time, vacuum level, and rotation speed.

Footprint

For this capacity, the footprint is generally compact, designed for efficient use of space in a processing environment.

• What is the primary benefit of using a vacuum mixer marinator?

A vacuum mixer marinator significantly reduces marinating times and improves product absorption by opening up muscle fibres, leading to more tender and flavourful results.

• Can this machine handle delicate products?

• What kind of maintenance is typically required?

• Is this unit suitable for both wet and dry ingredients?

• What safety features are commonly found on these machines?

Meat and poultry tumblers and massagers are valued for their consistent ability to enhance product texture and marinade absorption across commercial production. Buyers typically report reliable performance when used regularly, though condition of internal drums and seals warrants careful inspection on used units. Key strengths include labour savings and uniform results compared to manual methods. When purchasing secondhand, check motor function, drum integrity, and whether all safety guards remain intact. Stainless steel models tend to hold up better in demanding environments.
