Ram - Kramer & Grebe

• Used in large-scale meat processing plants for initial size reduction of fresh or frozen meat blocks.
• Suitable for preparing raw material for further processing such as sausage production, burger patties, or pet food.
• Utilised in facilities requiring high throughput and consistent grind size for various meat products.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 2,000 kg/hour to 6,000 kg/hour, depending on product and plate size.

Power supply

Commonly requires a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz.

Grinding plate diameter

This unit specifies a 160mm grinding plate, suitable for medium to coarse grinding.

Construction material

Units of this type are typically constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability in food processing environments.

Feed material

Designed to process both fresh and frozen meat blocks, often pre-cut to manageable sizes.

Loading mechanism

Units commonly feature an integrated loader for standard 200L tote bins to facilitate efficient feeding.

Footprint

Angle grinders of this capacity typically require a significant operational footprint, including space for loading and discharge.

• What is an 'angle grinder' in this context?

An angle grinder, or angle mincer, processes meat at an angle, often allowing for more efficient feeding and discharge compared to straight-through designs. This configuration can also reduce product temperature rise.

• What does 'fully refurbished' entail for this unit?

• What is the lead time for this refurbished unit?

• Can this grinder process bone-in meat?

• Are spare parts readily available for Kramer & Grebe equipment?

Meat grinders are valued for reliable, efficient processing in professional food operations. Buyers typically prioritise robust construction, consistent grinding performance and ease of cleaning when selecting used models. Industry sentiment favours equipment with proven durability records and minimal maintenance requirements. Key considerations include motor power, output capacity and blade condition, as these factors significantly impact operational efficiency. Well-maintained grinders from established manufacturers generally command confidence in the secondhand market, offering good value for facilities seeking cost-effective processing solutions.
