Scotraco BV - New Rotary Table

• Used for precise angular positioning and indexing of workpieces in machining operations.
• Commonly integrated into automated assembly lines for part orientation and presentation.
• Utilised in welding and fabrication for rotating components to optimal working positions.
• Applied in inspection processes for presenting multiple sides of a part to sensors or cameras.

Typical table diameter

Rotary tables in this class commonly range from 300mm to over 2000mm. This unit is stated as 1250mm.

Indexing accuracy

For this type of equipment, indexing accuracy typically ranges from +/- 10 arc seconds to +/- 60 arc seconds, depending on the drive system.

Load capacity

Units of this size typically handle radial loads from 500 kg to several tonnes, and axial loads can be significantly higher.

Drive mechanism

Common drive mechanisms include worm gear, direct drive, and roller gear cam, each offering different levels of precision and speed.

Power supply

Typically requires a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz in the UK, for motor operation and control systems.

Control interface

Often integrates with CNC systems or can be operated via a dedicated controller for manual or programmed indexing.

• What is the difference between a rotary table and an indexing table?

A rotary table offers continuous rotation and precise angular positioning, often with variable speed. An indexing table typically provides discrete, repeatable angular steps.

• Can this unit be integrated into an existing CNC system?

• What maintenance is typically required for a rotary table?

• What factors should I consider when choosing a rotary table?

• Is special tooling required to use a rotary table?

Rotary tables and indexing systems are valued in food processing for their reliability in automating product handling and storage workflows. Buyers typically prioritise stainless steel construction and corrosion resistance given food safety requirements. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should check bearing condition, indexing accuracy, and cleanliness of surfaces. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance and proven track records in high-volume production environments. Durability and precise positioning capabilities remain key strengths attracting continued buyer interest.
