Cutting Table

• Used in food processing for portioning and preparing meats, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• Suitable for bakeries and patisseries for dough preparation and confectionery work.
• Applicable in packaging operations for trimming and assembling various products.
• Utilised in textile industries for cutting fabrics and patterns.
• Found in general manufacturing for assembly, inspection, and light fabrication tasks.

Typical footprint

For this class of equipment, dimensions commonly range from 1200mm to 2500mm in length and 600mm to 1000mm in width, depending on the specific model and intended use.

Working surface material

Commonly features high-density polyethylene (HDPE), stainless steel, or laminated wood, selected for hygiene, durability, and ease of cleaning. This unit specifies a trimming board.

Frame material

Typically constructed from stainless steel or aluminium for corrosion resistance and structural stability. This unit has an aluminium frame.

Height

Standard working height for such tables is typically between 850mm and 950mm, often adjustable to suit operator ergonomics.

Features

Units of this type commonly include backstops, under-shelving, or integrated waste chutes. This unit specifies a backstop and a trimming board.

Power supply

Cutting tables are typically unpowered, relying on manual operation. Any integrated features like lighting or heating would require a standard single-phase electrical supply (e.g., 230V, 50Hz in the UK).

• What are the advantages of an aluminium frame?

Aluminium frames are typically lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and durable. They are suitable for environments where hygiene and ease of movement are important.

• Is the trimming board replaceable?

• What maintenance is required for a used cutting table?

• Can this table be used for heavy-duty cutting tasks?

• Are there any specific hygiene considerations for ex-butcher shop equipment?

Food processing work tables are valued for durability and hygiene compliance. Buyers typically prioritize stainless steel construction, which resists corrosion and withstands frequent cleaning. When purchasing used equipment, inspecting surface condition for damage or staining is essential, along with verifying stability of legs and joints. Industry sentiment reflects appreciation for robust build quality and ease of maintenance. Second-hand units often represent strong value, provided they meet food safety standards and structural integrity remains sound.
