Typical capacity

This model is designed for 15kg batch sizes, suitable for producing up to approximately 60kg per hour depending on roast profile and cooling times.

Power supply

Units of this class commonly require a single-phase electrical connection for motors and controls, alongside a gas supply for heating.

Fuel type

Toper roasters are typically configured for either natural gas or LPG (propane/butane). Buyers should confirm the specific setup with the seller.

Roasting mechanism

Toper roasters generally utilise a drum roasting mechanism, providing consistent heat transfer for even roasting.

Cooling system

Integrated cooling trays are standard for this type of roaster, designed to rapidly cool roasted beans to prevent over-roasting.

Footprint

For a 15kg roaster, a typical footprint would require a dedicated space of approximately 1.5m x 1m, plus clearance for maintenance and operation.

• What should I look for when inspecting a used roaster of this age?

• Are spare parts readily available for Toper roasters?

Used roasters are valued for their durability and cost effectiveness in food processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise even heat distribution, temperature control consistency, and robust construction when selecting secondhand units. Industry sentiment favours roasters from established manufacturers known for reliable performance. Key considerations include maintenance history, heating element condition, and capacity matching operational requirements. Well-maintained roasters often deliver dependable service across coffee roasting, nut processing, and other food applications, making them sound investments for processors seeking to minimise capital expenditure.
