PA - Rotary tables

• Reorienting products or pallets on a conveyor line.
• Integrating into automated assembly or packaging systems.
• Facilitating ergonomic access to workpieces for manual operations.
• Diverting items to different processing or storage areas.
• Indexing components for precise machining or inspection tasks.

Typical capacity

Typically designed to handle palletised loads ranging from a few hundred kilograms up to 2,000 kg, depending on the specific model and construction.

Power supply

Commonly operates on a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with control circuits often at 24V DC.

Rotation angles

Units of this type commonly offer rotation capabilities of ±90°, ±180°, or full 360° continuous rotation, as specified by the manufacturer.

Conveyor type

Frequently integrated with roller conveyors; chain conveyors are also a common alternative for heavier or more challenging loads.

Footprint

The footprint for this class of equipment varies significantly but typically aligns with standard pallet dimensions (e.g., 1200x800mm or 1200x1000mm) plus motor and frame extensions.

Control system

Often features PLC-based control for integration into existing conveyor lines, with options for manual or automatic operation.

• What is the typical lifespan of a used rotary table?

The lifespan of a used rotary table depends on its original build quality, previous usage, and maintenance history. With proper servicing, many units can provide many more years of reliable operation.

• Can this rotary table be integrated with my existing conveyor system?

• What maintenance is typically required for a rotary table?

• Are spare parts readily available for unknown manufacturer rotary tables?

• What safety features should I look for on a used rotary table?

Rotary tables and indexing systems are valued in food processing for their reliability in automating product handling and storage workflows. Buyers typically prioritise stainless steel construction and corrosion resistance given food safety requirements. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should check bearing condition, indexing accuracy, and cleanliness of surfaces. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance and proven track records in high-volume production environments. Durability and precise positioning capabilities remain key strengths attracting continued buyer interest.
