SC Rotary table

• Used for accumulating products at the end of a production line, allowing for manual packing or further processing.
• Ideal for buffering items between different stages of an automated system, ensuring continuous flow.
• Suitable for presenting products for inspection, labelling, or coding operations.
• Often integrated into assembly lines to provide a stable, rotating platform for manual or automated tasks.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, rotary tables commonly handle light to medium weight products, with throughput dependent on product size and accumulation requirements.

Power supply

Units of this type are typically powered by a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz in the UK.

Construction material

The frame is stated as stainless steel, which is common for hygiene-sensitive environments, with the table surface often made from stainless steel or food-grade plastic.

Footprint

A 700mm diameter table, as specified, typically requires a floor area of approximately 1m x 1m, including the frame and motor housing.

Speed control

Many rotary tables feature variable speed control, allowing adjustment to suit different product types and line speeds.

Maintenance requirements

Maintenance typically involves routine cleaning, checking motor and gearbox functionality, and ensuring bearing lubrication as per manufacturer guidelines.

• What types of products are suitable for a rotary table?

Rotary tables are suitable for a wide range of products, including bottles, jars, small boxes, pouches, and other items that can be accumulated without damage. The specific product suitability depends on its size, shape, and stability.

• Can this unit be integrated into an existing production line?

• What are the benefits of using a rotary table?

• Is a used rotary table a good investment?

• What safety features should I look for?

Rotary tables and indexing systems are valued in food processing for their reliability in automating product handling and storage workflows. Buyers typically prioritise stainless steel construction and corrosion resistance given food safety requirements. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should check bearing condition, indexing accuracy, and cleanliness of surfaces. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance and proven track records in high-volume production environments. Durability and precise positioning capabilities remain key strengths attracting continued buyer interest.
