Cookie Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. About This Policy

This Policy explains how machinerymasterslive.com (the "Platform") uses cookies and similar technologies such as tracking pixels, web beacons, and local storage. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. Where cookie data constitutes personal data, the UK GDPR also applies.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the site. Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others help us analyse traffic or serve relevant advertising.

3. Consent Management

We use CookieHub as our Consent Management Platform. When you first visit the Platform, the CookieHub banner asks you to accept, reject, or customise your cookie preferences.

Non-essential cookies are not set until you give consent.

You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it. CookieHub stores your preferences and ensures non-essential cookies are blocked until and unless you consent.

4. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They do not require your consent under PECR. We use them for maintaining your login session, protecting the Platform against cross-site request forgery, storing your cookie consent preferences (via CookieHub), and enabling core functionality such as search and navigation. These are first-party cookies set by us. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. The consent preference cookie persists for up to 12 months.

5. Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Platform, which pages are visited, and how users navigate the site. This data helps us improve the Platform. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent.

Google Analytics. Provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Analytics sets cookies including _ga and _ga_[ID] to distinguish users and maintain session state. These cookies may persist for up to 2 years. The information generated is transferred to Google servers, which may be located in the United States. We use IP anonymisation so your full IP address is not stored. Google processes this data on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement.

Opt out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or withdraw consent via the cookie settings on the Platform.

6. Marketing and Advertising

We use marketing cookies to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and, where relevant, to deliver targeted content. Marketing cookies are only set with your consent.

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook). Provided by Meta Platforms Inc. (1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA). The Pixel sets cookies including _fbp to track visits across websites and measure conversions from Facebook and Instagram advertising. This cookie may persist for up to 3 months.
  • Google Ads and Conversion Tracking. Provided by Google LLC. When you click a Google ad that leads to the Platform, a conversion cookie is set to measure whether the ad led to a desired action. This cookie expires after 30 days.
  • Klaviyo. Provided by Klaviyo Inc. (225 Franklin Street, Boston, MA 02110, USA). Klaviyo sets cookies to track user behaviour on the Platform for personalised email marketing and campaign effectiveness. Cookie duration varies but may persist for up to 2 years.

Meta opt out: facebook.com/adpreferences or youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.

Google Ads opt out: myadcenter.google.com.

7. Other Third-Party Technologies

Google reCAPTCHA. Provided by Google LLC. We use reCAPTCHA to protect the Platform from automated spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA analyses visitor behaviour such as mouse movements, time on page, and IP address, and may set cookies. This processing is strictly necessary for the security of the Platform and does not require consent.

8. General Opt-Out Tools

In addition to the tool-specific opt-out links above and the CookieHub settings on the Platform, you can manage advertising cookies through these independent industry services:

9. Browser Controls

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning correctly. Your browser's help documentation will explain how to manage these settings.

10. Legal Basis

Strictly necessary cookies are set under PECR's exemption for cookies that are essential to provide a service you have requested. All other cookies are set on the basis of your consent under PECR Regulation 6 and, where personal data is processed, Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 3.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on the Platform with a revised date.
