Siat Case Taper

• Sealing corrugated cardboard cases in food production lines.
• Automating the closure of filled boxes in confectionery and bakery operations.
• Securing packaging for fresh produce and frozen goods.
• Streamlining end-of-line packaging processes in various manufacturing sectors.

Typical throughput

Typically 10-30 cases per minute, depending on case size and model.

Power supply

Commonly single-phase 230V, 50Hz, requiring a standard industrial plug.

Case dimensions (L x W x H)

Units of this class typically handle a wide range, with minimums around 150x100x100mm and maximums up to 600x500x500mm or larger, model dependent.

Sealing method

Typically applies self-adhesive tape to both top and bottom flaps simultaneously.

Machine footprint

For this class of equipment, a footprint of approximately 1000-1500mm (L) x 700-900mm (W) is common.

Frame construction

Units often feature painted steel frames for durability in industrial environments.

• What is the difference between the Siat XL25, XL35PA, and SM8 models?

These model numbers typically denote different capabilities, such as maximum case dimensions, throughput speeds, and automation levels (e.g., 'PA' often indicates pneumatic adjustment or semi-automatic features). Buyers should consult the seller for specific differences for these units.

• Can these units handle different tape widths?

• Are spare parts readily available for Siat case tapers?

• What type of maintenance is typically required for a used case taper?

• Can these machines be integrated into an existing production line?

Strapping equipment remains reliable for securing packaged goods across food processing operations. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent tension control, minimal downtime, and straightforward maintenance. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on strapping heads, motor function, and sensor calibration. Industry sentiment favours equipment with proven track records in high-volume environments. Key strengths include durability, energy efficiency, and compatibility with various film types. Proper mechanical condition and operational history are essential considerations for cost-effective procurement.
