Siat WS320L-1 Pallet wrapper

• Securing palletised goods for transport and storage in food manufacturing.
• Wrapping diverse products, from packaged foods to ingredients, to prevent shifting and damage.
• Protecting goods from dust, moisture, and tampering within a warehouse environment.
• Streamlining end-of-line packaging processes in medium to large-scale operations.

Typical capacity

Units of this class commonly handle up to 20-30 pallets per hour, depending on wrap cycles and operator efficiency.

Power supply

This unit is specified as 3-phase. Pallet wrappers typically require a 400V, 50Hz supply for industrial use in the UK.

Turntable diameter

The specified 1650mm turntable diameter is suitable for standard Euro pallets (1200x800mm) and UK pallets (1200x1000mm), with some overhang.

Maximum pallet height

For this type of turntable wrapper, a maximum wrapping height of 2000-2500mm is commonly found.

Film type

Typically uses standard stretch film rolls, commonly 500mm wide, with various gauges available.

Controls

Variable speed and tension controls are standard, allowing for optimisation based on load stability and film usage.

• What is the typical footprint for a Siat WS320L-1 pallet wrapper?

A turntable pallet wrapper like this will require floor space for the machine itself, plus adequate clear area for loading and unloading pallets, typically around 3m x 3m.

• Can this machine handle unstable loads?

• What kind of maintenance does a used pallet wrapper require?

• Is operator training required for this type of equipment?

• What safety features are typically present on a pallet wrapper?

Strapping equipment remains reliable for securing packaged goods across food processing operations. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent tension control, minimal downtime, and straightforward maintenance. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on strapping heads, motor function, and sensor calibration. Industry sentiment favours equipment with proven track records in high-volume environments. Key strengths include durability, energy efficiency, and compatibility with various film types. Proper mechanical condition and operational history are essential considerations for cost-effective procurement.
