What types of products are suitable for an L-sealer and heat tunnel?

This equipment is suitable for a wide range of products, including boxes, trays, bottles, and irregularly shaped items, provided they fit within the sealing area dimensions.

Is specialist film required for shrink wrapping?

Yes, specific shrink film (e.g., Polyolefin, PVC, or Polyethylene) is required. The film's properties allow it to shrink tightly around the product when heated in the tunnel.

What maintenance is typically involved with this type of equipment?

Routine maintenance commonly includes cleaning the sealing wires, checking conveyor belts, inspecting electrical connections, and ensuring the heat tunnel elements are functioning correctly.

Can this machine be integrated into an automated production line?

While this specific unit is described as semi-automatic, L-sealers and tunnels can often be integrated with upstream and downstream conveyors to enhance automation, though operator interaction for product loading will remain.

What are the common safety features on such a system?

Typical safety features include emergency stop buttons, guarding around moving parts, and thermal cut-outs in the heat tunnel to prevent overheating.

Typical context for this category of equipment. Always confirm specifics with the seller.

Packaging of individual products or multi-packs in retail-ready film.
Securing products for transit, protecting against dust and moisture.
Bundling multiple items together for promotional offers or inventory management.
Creating tamper-evident seals for food products, cosmetics, or pharmaceuticals.

Typical throughput: Units of this type commonly achieve 10-20 packs per minute, depending on product size and operator efficiency.
Maximum product dimensions: For this class of L-sealer and tunnel combination, typical sealing areas accommodate products up to approximately 550mm in length and 350mm in width and height.
Film type compatibility: Generally compatible with various shrink films, including PVC, Polyolefin, and Polyethylene, typically up to 25 microns thickness.
Power supply: Commonly requires a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, with a significant power draw for the heat tunnel.
Footprint: A combined L-sealer and heat tunnel system typically requires a floor space of around 2.5m to 3.5m in length and 1m to 1.5m in width.
Sealing mechanism: Units of this type typically use a hot wire or impulse sealing system for consistent, clean seals.

This equipment is suitable for a wide range of products, including boxes, trays, bottles, and irregularly shaped items, provided they fit within the sealing area dimensions.

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
