Carsoe Twin Tote Bin Hoist

• Loading bulk ingredients into processing machinery.
• Transferring materials between different stages of a production line.
• Emptying tote bins into hoppers or mixing tanks.
• Feeding cooking vessels or other batch processing equipment.

Typical capacity

Designed for standard 200L or 300L tote bins, often handling up to 250-300 kg per bin.

Power supply

Commonly requires a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with appropriate motor power for lifting.

Lift height

Variable, but typically configured to discharge into vessels with an inlet height of 2-3 metres for this class of equipment.

Material of construction

Units of this type are usually constructed from stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Footprint

A twin hoist will require a larger floor area compared to a single unit, typically around 2-3 square metres, plus operational clearance.

Loading mechanism

Typically features a floor-level loading system where bins are wheeled into position before lifting.

• What type of tote bins can this hoist accommodate?

This type of hoist is generally designed for standard Euro-style tote bins (e.g., DIN 9797), but buyers should verify compatibility with their specific bin dimensions.

• What safety features are typically included on a twin tote bin hoist?

• Can this unit be integrated into an automated line?

• What maintenance is typically required for a hoist of this nature?

• Is installation complex for a twin tote bin hoist?

Lifting and tipping equipment for food handling is valued for durability and reliability in demanding environments. Buyers typically prioritize robust construction, stainless steel components where applicable, and compliance with food safety standards. When purchasing used models, inspectors should assess mechanical wear, hydraulic system condition, and operational smoothness. Common strengths include longevity when properly maintained, efficient load handling, and adaptability to various food processing workflows. Equipment reputation generally remains strong provided previous maintenance records are documented and critical seals show minimal degradation.
