How often should the UV tubes be replaced?

UV tubes typically require replacement every 9-12 months to maintain optimal insect attraction, as their UV output diminishes over time.

Is this unit suitable for outdoor use?

Most fly trap light zappers of this type are designed for indoor use only. Outdoor use may require a unit specifically rated for external conditions and weather resistance.

How do I clean this type of equipment?

Cleaning typically involves switching off and unplugging the unit, then emptying and wiping the collection tray. The electrified grid can usually be cleaned with a brush, following manufacturer guidelines.

Are there any specific safety considerations?

Users should ensure the unit is installed out of reach of children and pets. Always unplug the unit before cleaning or maintenance to avoid electric shock.

Can this unit be used near food preparation surfaces?

Yes, units of this type are designed for use in food environments. However, direct placement over open food preparation areas should be avoided to prevent contamination from falling insects.
