BTM/300/4450/B/G Single Pillar Guarded Bin Tipper

This Single Pillar 200 Litre Guarded Bin Tipper was designed to lift and tip at a discharge height of 4450mm. The Guarded Bin Tipper is manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel, is a welded construction throughout and is designed to be bolted to the floor. The lifting is achieved by a ¾” Simplex chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column. The Guarded Bin Tipper will be supplied with a full height safety guard as detailed below.

Safety Guard to BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards

This Guarded Bin Tipper was supplied complete with a safety guard to meet the guidelines of BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards. The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm box section and 3mm wire, 40mm aperture stainless steel weld mesh. It encloses the Guarded Bin Tipper to a height of 2200mm above the platform height on three sides with a cut-out through which the bin is tipped on the fourth side. At the ground level there is a safety guard door through which the bins are loaded and unloaded. The guard door is electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the Guarded Bin Tipper from operating when the door is open. Additionally, the guard door can only be opened when the lift carriage is at the full down position to prevent access whilst a load is raised.

Guarded Bin Tipper Electrical Control

This Guarded Bin Tipper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main column at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site.

The control panel incorporates the following controls; Up, Down, Guard Release, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. The Guarded Bin Tipper operation is latched so that pressing the ‘Up’ push button once will raise the lift to the full tip position. Once the product has been discharged the Guarded Bin Tipper will return to the full down position. Also included was an intermediate limit switch which paused the Guarded Bin Tipper prior to tipping if the infeed hopper was full.
