Fomaco - Hydraulic Bin Tipper

• Used for controlled emptying of bulk bins or Dolavs containing food ingredients or waste.
• Commonly employed in meat, poultry, and fish processing lines for transferring product to further processing stages.
• Utilised in bakeries and confectionery for tipping ingredients into mixers or hoppers.
• Applicable in fruit and vegetable processing for feeding washing, sorting, or dicing equipment.

Typical capacity

Designed to handle standard Dolavs or bulk bins, typically up to 1200 kg gross weight.

Power supply

Commonly requires a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, for the hydraulic power pack.

Material construction

Units of this type, especially from manufacturers like Fomaco, are typically constructed from stainless steel, suitable for hygienic environments.

Tipping height

Variable depending on the model, but typically designed to discharge into standard hoppers or conveyors at heights ranging from 1.5m to 3m.

Footprint

The base footprint typically ranges from 1.5m x 1.5m to 2m x 2m, plus space for bin loading and hydraulic power pack.

Operation

Hydraulically operated for smooth and controlled tipping cycles, often with integrated safety features.

• What type of bins can this tipper accommodate?

This unit is described as a 'Dolav/Bin Tipper', indicating it is designed for standard industrial plastic Dolav bins or similar bulk containers. Buyers should confirm exact bin dimensions with the seller.

• Is the hydraulic power pack included?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used hydraulic bin tipper?

• Can this unit be integrated into an existing production line?

• What are the common safety features on a Fomaco bin tipper?

Bin tippers and dumpers are valued across waste management, recycling, and manufacturing sectors for their reliability and durability. Buyers typically prioritise robust construction, hydraulic system condition, and container compatibility when purchasing used models. Industry sentiment favours equipment with well-maintained lifting mechanisms and minimal corrosion. Common strengths include straightforward operation, longevity with proper maintenance, and cost efficiency compared to new units. Potential buyers should inspect wear on hydraulic cylinders, structural integrity of the bin, and service history before purchase.
