Ipra - Ilpra Speedy Tray Sealer

• Packaging ready meals for retail or catering distribution.
• Sealing fresh produce trays to extend shelf life.
• Packaging baked goods or confectionery items.
• Creating modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) for various food products.
• Sealing individual portions of sauces, dips, or desserts.

Typical throughput

For this class of semi-automatic tray sealer, throughput typically ranges from 6 to 15 cycles per minute, depending on tray size and operator efficiency.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, with a suitable current rating for heating elements and motor.

Compressed air

Most pneumatic tray sealers, including the Speedy, require a clean, dry compressed air supply, typically at 6-8 bar.

Tray material compatibility

This equipment is typically compatible with a range of heat-sealable tray materials, including PP, APET, CPET, and aluminium foil.

Film material compatibility

Suitable for use with various lidding films, including anti-fog, peelable, and high-barrier films, depending on application requirements.

Footprint

A compact design is common for the Ilpra Speedy, making it suitable for operations with limited floor space, typically requiring an area of around 1m x 1m.

• What is the typical lifespan of an Ilpra Speedy tray sealer?

With regular maintenance and proper operation, an Ilpra Speedy, especially one with a stainless steel construction, can offer many years of reliable service in a production environment.

• Can this machine be used for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)?

• Are spare parts readily available for older Ilpra Speedy models?

• What kind of maintenance does this type of machine require?

• How difficult is it to change tooling/mould sets on an Ilpra Speedy?

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
