Jex Granulator

• Size reduction of dry or semi-dry materials in pharmaceutical production.
• Granulation of food ingredients for improved flow and dissolution.
• Processing of chemical compounds to achieve uniform particle size.
• Recycling of plastics or other materials into reusable granulate.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly, typically ranging from tens to hundreds of kilograms per hour depending on material and desired particle size.

Power supply

This unit is specified as 3-phase. Granulators of this size commonly require 400V, 50Hz electrical supply.

Construction material

The listing states 'Stainless', which is typical for granulators used in food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries to ensure hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Particle size control

This unit comes with five different mesh baskets, indicating adjustable output particle size, a common feature for versatile granulation.

Mobility

Mounted on a frame and described as 'mobile', suggesting it is fitted with castors for easy relocation within a facility.

Feed material suitability

Granulators are typically suited for processing friable materials, aggregates, or compacted cakes into a more uniform granular form.

• What kind of materials can this Jex Granulator process?

Jex Granulators are typically used for processing dry or semi-dry materials such as powders, aggregates, and compacted products into a granular form. The suitability for specific materials depends on their hardness and friability.

Food processing milling equipment maintains strong reputation for durability and consistent performance. Buyers typically prioritise checking motor condition, grinding chamber wear, and screen integrity when purchasing used units. Key strengths include longevity with proper maintenance, relatively straightforward operation, and cost savings versus new models. Industry sentiment favours machines from established manufacturers with documented service history. Condition of wear parts and cleanliness standards are critical assessment factors. Used mills remain popular due to their ability to handle varied grain types and powders reliably.
