LEONHARDT DOSING MACHINE

• Dosing of viscous liquids and pastes in food production.
• Accurate filling of cosmetic products into containers.
• Dispensing of chemical solutions in industrial processes.
• Packaging of pharmaceutical products requiring precise volume control.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can range significantly depending on product viscosity and dose size, commonly handling several hundred to over a thousand doses per hour.

Power supply

Units of this type typically operate on standard industrial single-phase or three-phase electrical supplies, commonly 230V or 400V, 50Hz.

Dosing principle

Often employs volumetric piston or rotary lobe pump mechanisms for precise and consistent dosing.

Material compatibility

Contact parts are typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316L) for hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Footprint

A compact design is common for standalone units, requiring a moderate amount of floor space, typically less than 1 square metre.

Viscosity range

Designed to handle a wide range of product viscosities, from thin liquids to thick pastes, as indicated by its 'large bore' description.

• What products can this machine dose?

A Leonhardt dosing machine, particularly one with a 'large bore', is typically suitable for a wide range of viscous and semi-viscous products, including sauces, jams, creams, pastes, and thick liquids.

• Is this machine easy to integrate into an existing line?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used dosing machine?

• Can this machine handle different dose sizes?

• What are the benefits of pumping direct from IBCs?

Filling machines remain sought-after on the secondhand market due to their durability and long operational lifespan. Buyers typically value models from established manufacturers known for robust construction. When purchasing used units, inspectors should verify seal integrity, calibration accuracy, and maintenance history, as these directly affect product consistency and line efficiency. Common strengths include straightforward mechanical design facilitating repairs and adaptability to different container sizes. Reliability and minimal downtime are frequently cited priorities among processors seeking cost-effective production solutions.
